Overview
Longdeng grassland is located in Longdeng Township, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province. At that time, King Gesar once set up camp in the Longdeng grassland, so it was also called "gesartan" in Tibetan, which means "the grassland that King Gesar fought on".

The king Gesar
In Tibetan legend, Gesar was a brave general. He promoted good and punished evil, carried forward Buddhism and spread culture all his life. He became an outstanding hero that the Tibetan people were proud of. Gesar was born in 1038 BC and died in 1119 BC. He subdued demons and Demons all his life, eliminated the tyranny, and fought north and south, unifying more than 150 tribes of different sizes.

Legend
In history, the famous King Gesar was set up camp here, which was called "gesartan" by the local people. It is said that King Gesar built the largest tent in the Tibetan area on the grassland. He took his concubine and his parents to live there. Whenever the sun rises, King Gesar orders generals on the grassland, so it is also called Dianjiang platform.
