
Introdution
Hongfu temple is located in the center of Qianlingshan Mountain, Guizhou. It was founded by monk Chisong in 1672. The word "Hongfu" has the meaning of "carrying forward Buddhism, saving lives, benefiting the people, starting well and ending well".
Folk Legend
According to legend, with the help of local Buddhist believers, monk Chisong bought a piece of land and built a thatched hut, which is the predecessor of Hongfu temple. After that, the local officials were moved by the kindness and professionalism of Chisong. With their support, Hongfu temple was able to expand its scale, and successively built the Mahavira hall, the gate and other pavillion. And the monks in the temple have changed from Chisong himself to a thirteen person scale, and the incense of the temple has become more vigorous.

Layout
The first Hall of Hongfu temple is Heavenly Kings Hall for Maitreya Buddha and Dharma protectors. The southern side of the hall is carved with Buddhist scriptures, and the two outer walls of the hall have huge paintings. The second hall is the Guanyin hall, which worships 32 armed Guanyin Bodhisattvas and Weituo Bodhisattvas. The third hall is the Mahavira hall, where Sakyamuni, Anan, Gaye, Manjusri, Puxian and eighteen Arhats are pasted with real gold;
