Overview
Yufeng temple is located in the southern foot of Yulong Snow Mountain, 13 kilometers away from Lijiang ancient city, built in the Qing Dynasty (1700 AD). Tibetan means "auspicious Hongfa yuan", which is listed as the five Buddhist temples in Lijiang along with Fuguo temple, Puji temple, Wenfeng temple and Zhiyun temple. The "ten thousand Camellia" of Yufeng temple is well-known in the world and is planted by the leader of the "karma Kaju", which has a history of nearly 300 years. The ten thousand camellia trees are known as the "world tea king" from the beginning of spring to the end of summer.

Constructure & Layout
Yufeng temple is a quadrangle layout, which is composed of gatehouse, main hall and two tiger statues. The layout is harmonious and symmetrical. The hall is 16.3 meters wide and 12.6 meters deep. The decoration has a strong architectural style of Qing Dynasty. There are reliefs, plaques and 20 Buddha statues in the room, which is of Tibetan "Tangka" style.

Camellia
From February to April every year is the spring flower season in Lijiang. When the snow is covered on Yulong Mountain and the red plum has not yet opened, the camellia of Yufeng temple has already shown a dazzling color; From the beginning of spring to the beginning of summer, more than 20 batches of Camellia have been opened successively for more than 100 days, one batch has not withered, and another batch is in bud. Each batch has more than 1000 flowers, with a total of more than 20000. "Ten thousand Camellia", hence the name.
