Introdution
Mingyong Glacier is located in the Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China, The glacier retreated 200 meters (656 feet) in four years. The region has also seen a rising tree line and these events are believed to be associated with global warming. The glacier is sacred to the local peoples. The glacier is fed by snows which fall on 6,740 m (22,107 ft) Mount Meili, also known as the Meili Snow Mountain. Glaciers in China's Tibetan region are melting at 7 percent annually. At 28.5 degrees north and an elevation of 2,700 meters (8,858 ft), the glacier is located at the lowest latitude and elevation of any glacier in China.

Transportation
Mingyong glacier is located in Mingyong village, Deqin County, about 50km away from Deqin County and 40km away from Feilai Temple.

? Deqin?Mingyong glacier
Bus: There are buses from Deqin County bus station to Mingyong village at 7:00 and 15:00 every day. The fare is about 15 yuan per person. But buses sometimes stop irregularly.
Charter: the round-trip price is generally between 200-300 yuan.

? Feilaisi?Mingyong glacier
Charter bus: about 20 yuan / person from feilaisi to Mingyong glacier. Every morning around 8 o'clock, there will be a lot of charter buses near the viewing platform of Feilai temple. Tourists who go to Yubeng or Mingyong can carpool together.

Admission Fee: CNY 228 for package ticket (Including CNY 60 for Jinsha River Bay, 60 yuan for Wunongding viewing platform, CNY 60 for Feilai Temple viewing platform and CNY 78 for Mingyong Glacier)
