
Overview
Han Rock-Tombs Museum is located in Pengshan County, Meishan City. It is a museum built on the cliff of Minjiang River entrance, covering an area of 3100 square meters. It is divided into three exhibition areas: the site exhibition area, the Ming Dynasty ancient architecture heritage exhibition area and the sculpture hall exhibition area.
About Rock-Tombs
Rock-Tombs is a kind of antique residence popular in the Minjiang River Basin in Han Dynasty. It is a kind of house form by digging caves on the cliff directly without building another wall. In the Tang and Song Dynasties, because of its long history, Rock-Tombs were also understood as "immortal cave" for cultivating Taoism. Therefore, the cliff tomb is covered with mysterious and magical colors.
