Located in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Xizhou ancient town is one of the famous historical and cultural towns and important hometown of overseas Chinese in Yunnan Province.

Xizhou Town is belongs to low latitude plateau monsoon climate. The average annual temperature is 15.10 ?, the hottest month is July, the monthly average temperature is 20 ?, the coldest month is January, and the monthly average temperature is 8.7 ?. The relative high temperature period of the whole year is from May to August, and the average monthly temperature is 18.50 ?.
What to see
Butterfly Spring
Butterfly spring is located 1 km north of Xizhou Town, formerly known as bottomless lake. In the park, there is a "Butterfly Spring" stone tablet inscribed by the famous writer Guo Moruo. On the back of the stone tablet, a diary written by Xu Xiake, a famous ancient Chinese explorer, is engraved on the back of the stone tablet. At present, the main scenic spots are Butterfly tower, Octagonal pavilion, Hexagonal pavilion, Wanghai Pavilion, Crescent pool and Butterfly chanting stele. In December 1985, the butterfly museum was established.
