Overview
Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, located in the north of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, is a pearl inlaid in the core scenic spot of Wulingyuan Scenic Area. It is a huge and gentle mountain mainly composed of quartzite. Although yuanjiajie scenic area belongs to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, from the geographical position, it is the core of Wulingyuan scenic spot in Zhangjiajie.
Main Attractions
The first bridge
As one of the ten sceneries in Zhangjiajie, the first bridge spans between the two mountains. The bridge deck is 2m in width, 5m in thickness, 25m in span and 357m in vertical height difference. So far, it is a natural stone slab bridge with the largest vertical height difference found in the world.
Five Peaks
The five Peaks are located in the valley of shadaogou valley. The five peaks stand side by side, just like five female generals preparing to fight in the battlefield before they leave.
Enchanting platform
Enchanting platform is the best natural viewing platform in yuanjiajie scenic area. As long as you stand on the viewing platform, soul will be fascinated by the beautiful scenery in front of you and get its name. Hundreds of stone peaks stand quietly in the gorge, straight into the blue sky, like soldiers in formation, with thousands of postures and extraordinary momentum.
Bailong Elevator
This is an elevator built on the edge of the mountain, which can directly take you to the top of the mountain and sightseeing in Yuanjiajie Mountain, the core part of Zhangjiajie scenic spot.
Weather & Best time visit
Yuanjiajie scenic area belongs to the central subtropical mountain prototype monsoon humid climate, with sufficient light and heat, abundant rainfall, four distinct seasons, and the annual average temperature is about 16.6 ?. The best travel time is from April to October every year.
