Xichang City Information
Xichang is the capital of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in southern Sichuan Province. Known as the City of Spring for its mild year-round climate, Xichang is famous for its satellite launch center, Qionghai Lake, and the Yi Torch Festival.

Yi Torch Festival
Held annually around late July or early August, the Torch Festival is the most important celebration of the Yi people. It features bonfires, dancing, wrestling, bullfighting, and horse racing.
